Purpose of the Journeying Toward Jesus Program
The Journeying Toward Jesus program is an opportunity for Christian women to come together to deepen and renew our relationship with our Saviour, Jesus. Trying to prioritize our personal connection with Him while balancing the demands of life, marriage, and motherhood can be challenging. Joining this program is one way for you to stake a claim for Jesus in your life and commit, along with a group of like-minded women, to taking steps to grow closer to Him.
We will be studying several spiritual disciplines together throughout the year. Some members may join for the whole year, while others will participate on a seasonal basis. Sophie Elise Agbonkhese does not claim to be an expert in this area. She is an eager student of the disciplined life and is passionately pursuing knowledge and experience in this area. She will present various resources for your perusal, develop and nurture the community, and prayerfully lead you through this study.
There are no warranties or guarantees inherent in this program. What you get out of it will depend on the time and effort you put into it. We will provide encouragement, resources, support, and community, but the only way to grow closer to Jesus is by spending time with Him, studying His Word, listening for His voice, obeying His instruction, etc. It is not something we can give you, but it is a journey that we are honoured to be on together with you.
Purpose of the Journeying Toward Jesus Facebook Community
The Journeying Toward Jesus Facebook Community is intended to be a place where sisters in Christ can connect with each other and share our journeys as we pursue Him with ever greater intentionality. Our desire is to create an atmosphere of support, encouragement, and love as instructed in the Bible (2 Cor. 13:11; 1 Thess. 5:11).
As such, please abide by the following rules:
Practice Kindness
Be kind and encouraging to one another. We want you to be honest, but be sure to share your opinions and/or advice from a place of love. It takes a lot of courage to put oneself out into a community like this and share intimate details of one’s faith journey, and that courage must be respected. Being able to speak into someone’s life is a privilege that is earned. Try to speak to people as you would want to be spoken to.
Be Welcoming
Everyone is here for the same reason: we all want to grow closer to Jesus. This is the sole purpose of the Journeying Toward Jesus program and the Facebook Community. With that in mind, strive to be Christ-like in how you approach people. Welcome them and make them feel accepted. Encourage people to share and grow.
Negative talk or derogatory comments will result in removal from the group at the sole discretion of the group admins, without refund. Inappropriate posts or comments will be removed.

Be Generous
Comment on other people’s posts and offer them feedback and encouragement. Share your wins and your struggles. Be honest and transparent. The more open each of us is about our journey, the more all of us will benefit from participating in this program.
Be Community-minded
If you have questions, insights, prayer requests, etc. please post them in the Facebook group. These topics benefit the most from having several sets of eyes on them. If you have specific questions about the program, please post in the group and tag the admin(s) or send us an email.
That being said, please keep topics limited to those that relate to the program, as described in the previous paragraph. Do not start off-topic threads that are not related to the goal of becoming closer to Jesus.

Self-promotion
A note about self-promotion: In general, self-promotion is not allowed in this community. However, if you offer a product or service that is highly relevant to the topics we’re studying and think they would benefit the whole group, please do contact the group admins or email us at hello@mycuprunsover.ca and let us know. Our goal is to provide the best possible resources to the Journeying Toward Jesus Community and many of those resources may indeed come from our members.
New Members
This group is only open to current members of the Journeying Toward Jesus program. Please do not invite your friends to the Facebook group, but feel free to invite them to join the program by visiting www.mycuprunsover.ca/journeyingtowardjesus.
Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day refund on all seasonal and annual memberships. If you are unsatisfied with the program, please send us an email to arrange for a refund.
